IOur St. Louis Gaelic Athletic Club is waving our handkerchiefs at the docks of the Mississippi River as we send off three of our strongest hurlers to compete in Nashville, Tennessee this weekend (October 10-11). Brian (Sliotar Slasher) Spencer, Connor (Woah So Fast) Welby, and Connor (Mad Dog) Nix were selected to compete in the first annual USGAA Divisional Select Tournament. They will be competing on a team with other select athletes across the Heartland Division as they battle against divisions across the country.

Give our boys a warm goodbye and stay tuned for coverage!! Read below for more info on individual athletes.

Brian (Sliotar Slasher) Spencer is a powerhouse half back / midfielder. He shines in his ability to flick, kick, or scoop the Sliotar before his opponent and deliver an impactful puc down field or over the bars. He’s a veteran in the club, not only in his community service but his commitment to our athletic excellence. He’s served in multiple board roles and has been a part of several national, international, and local travel tournaments, winning medals and trophies across the board, from Nationals to World Games.

Good Luck, Sliotar Slasher!!

Connor (Woah So Fast) Welby will out run you anywhere on the field but he is currently our shining Midfielder. He stands out in his ability to not only be first to the touch, but to weave his way through opponents and slam a goal, point, or thoughtful pass. His supportive attitude and endurance is noticeable on the field as well as off the field in practices and club events. He’s traveled to national, international, and local tournaments and is a well-decorated performer, contributing to medals and trophies across each.

Best of Luck, Woah So Fast!!!

Connor (Mad Dog) Nix is tenacious in his defensive and offensive power and has been our starting full forward as well as half back due to his Mad Dog ability to get the Sliotar and do something incredible with it anywhere on the pitch. He has been one of our top scorers and most feared defenders. He has traveled nationally, internationally, and locally to bring back glory, memories, medals, and trophies from national, World Games, and divisional tournaments. He’s dedicated his time and skills as a thoughtful teammate and leader in the club. Don’t let this guy too far off leash! Woof Woof!

Good Luck, Mad Dog!!!
