The St. Louis Gaelic Athletic Association (STLGAC) is proud to announce its hosting of a GAA Coach Certification Course this October. Gaelic Sports are growing in popularity across the United States, with over 140 clubs across 50 cities supporting almost 9000 members within the USGAA. Additionally, youth leagues are sprouting up across the US. This growth requires supporting leadership from well-trained coaching staff. With the generous support of the Global Games Development Grant (GGDF), STLGAC has organized a GAA Coach Certification Course open to all USGAA Heartland registered adult members. After completion of this 7.5 hour course, you will be certified to coach adult and youth members in gaelic sports.

We've invited Stiofan Forsha to host this course. Stiofan is a GAA-certified coach with over 20 years of coaching experience.

What: Introduction to Gaelic Games Course (7.5 hours)
When: October 17 (9:00 AM - 12:30 PM); and October 18 (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM).
Where: October 17: Langenberg Field at Forest Park St. Louis; October 18: St. Vincent's Community Park in St. Louis.
Details: To complete the certification, participants must complete all 7.5 hours of the Introduction to Gaelic Games Course. The first 3.5 hours on October 17 will go over coaching skills and leadership training (the first part of the Introduction to Gaelic Games Course). The last 4 hours on October 18 will involve practical application to Gaelic Games, conclusions, and next steps. Lunch will be provided both days.

You will receive a confirmation email if you have been selected. You will be required to submit proof of identification along with your USGAA 2026 registration.
